liposuction is a proven technique to improve the body shape by the removal of fat. beware of non proven newer techniques hitting the marketplace. reducing or melting fat with minimal swelling, brusing and down time all sound great. but the techniques need to be tested, investigated, and proven before the plastic surgical society or aesthetic society will give their blessing. the safety of injected medications to melt fat still is under investigation. contacting the american society of plastic surgery at www.plasticsurgery.org will give additional information about which procedures are safe and proven to work.
