Actinic Keratosis (sun damaged) spots and lesions on the face can be very effectively treated with levulonic acid and IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments in the office with very little down time. These lesions can progress into skin cancers if not treated early on. They then require surgical treatment and the possibiblity of scars. Skin evaluation and consultations are complimentary in the office. These keratosis can be reddish spots not going away, or irritated lesions which may bleed or get raised. Juvederm Ultra, a light material to be employed for mild lines or depressions and to augment lips; and
Juvederm Ultra Plus, a more substantial material that works well for more pronounced grooves. It also restores facial fullness lost with aging, especially in the midface region.

JUVEDERM is a filler derived from hyaluronic acid. The rejuvenating feature of hyaluronic acid is that it attracts and holds water. That makes JUVEDERM effective for facial wrinkles and folds. Since hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the human body, no allergy testing is needed before the injections are performed. The filler should maintain its look for six to nine months, based on the individual patient and how mobile each treated area is.
