Connecticut Plastic Surgeon Says Kylie Jenner is Helping Boost Lip Enhancement Procedures

Subheading: The Safe Way to Make Your Lips More Appealing
Like many other plastic surgeons around the country, Connecticut Plastic Surgeon Dr. Rick Rosen has seen a recent influx of young female patients wishing to enhance the appearance of their lips. This is apparently a result of social media posts attributed to Kylie Jenner regarding the unsafe home practice of lip enhancement, which involves placing a shot glass over the lips and sucking. The process induces negative pressure which causes blood vessel engorgement in the soft tissue of the lips, and causes temporary swelling. While it can achieve the desired effect of having fuller lips, it can also cause damage to blood vessels in the region around the lips.
Dr. Rosen considers each young person coming to him for lip enhancement on a case-by-case basis, since the craze for fuller lips has been sweeping the ranks of teens as well as young adult women. Lip filler can safely be used to enhance lips and provide the desired fullness, and in practice would be injected into the area around the mouth, as well as directly into the lips. Medically applied augmentation like this can have excellent results which last up to six or seven months, when applied by a skilled surgeon like Dr. Rosen.
In addition to lip augmentation, Dr. Rosen provides many other state-of-the-art plastic surgery techniques at his Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery facility in Norwalk, Connecticut. He has had great success with face lifts and other types of facial plastic surgery, breast augmentation, body contouring, liposuction, scar removal, and laser resurfacing of skin. He has also made a specialty of such non-surgical procedures as cellulite treatment, cosmetic dermal filler treatment, and hair removal through laser technology.
